The theme for the Shift Art Challenge in May was Children and Art. You have to use a minimum of 3 supplied images in your creation. In this composition I used 4: the boy reading the book, the entire subway tunnel, the bicycle and the waves in the foreground. It's interesting to see how many people incorporate the same elements from a choice of many. Shift Art usually supplies at least a couple of dozen images to work with. The May challenge had over 40 pieces to choose from, yet in the majority of the submissions, a lot of contributors chose the same elements, although not necessarily the same combination.
I have already completed my entry for June, but this time I am going to refine it again before the 15th of June closing date. I have entered the competition 4 times and twice I have gotten mentioned, although it would be nice to win at some point. I have to be realistic though. I'm new at this sort of creativity and there are some extremely talented people submitting works. Someday... maybe.
