FaithFaith FAITH: A digital composition I created for the March Shift Art challenge.

Shift Art was launched on December 1st, 2015 by Andrei Talient. The site is dedicated to highlighting Photoshop artists and their work with interviews, galleries and tutorials. The goal is to promote a new generation of artists using Photoshop as their main medium. You can visit the SHIFT ART website for more information and to view the works of many digital artists.

The rules of the challenge state an entrant must use at least two images and a texture from a number of specific assets which are supplied. You can also add some of your own graphic images and photographs.

The theme of the challenge was to work with or modify existing light elements. I chose to combine 6 elements plus a texture. The elements were the light bulb, the interior walls and doorways, the cobble stone path, the monk, the scene in the opening in the wall at the end and the woman in the water.

I added some fog to the room and along the pathway and modified lighting coming through the doorway and lighting the monk by adding a shadow for the monk.
